Grades

5th Grade - 8th Grade

Students are taught by teachers who are experts in their subject matter and are passionate about student success. Emphasis is placed on high school preparation in all areas as well as the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for leadership, spiritual growth, and character development.

Students are leveled for Mathematics class beginning in 6th grade based on teacher recommendation and TerraNova scores. 7th grade students are given a placement exam in order to be eligible to take Algebra I/Dual Enrollment in 8th grade. For Language Arts, students develop their skills in comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing using hihger-order thinking skills and strategies. Our hands-on Science classes provide students with opportunities to work in collaboration with others as they use the scientific method during their weekly labs.

In Social Studies, students learn about history from ancient civilizations to current events. Through the arts and physical education, students develop their God-given talents. Our goal in middle school is for our students to move on to their high school of choice. Graduates are known to excel in a broad range of disciplines in subsequent acadamic settings, All for His Glory.

Students with Unique Abilities

Saint Louis Covenant School is committed to offering Catholic education to students who can thrive in a general education environment. To support students with disabilities, the school collaborates with families to provide basic accommodations and intervention services tailored to individual needs.

Parents of students with documented exceptionalities must submit specific documentation, such as recent evaluations, IEP or 504 plans, or ADOM Physician statements, to the school for review. The school will assess whether it can meet the student’s educational needs, but not all accommodations may be guaranteed. Recommendations that align with the school’s general education framework will be considered.
